Evelyn Lee, FAIA | NOMA

Candidate for 2024 First VP | 2025 President

Mina Chow, FAIA

I believe Evelyn Lee would be a great President of the American Institute of Architects in 2025. She has the most important qualities of great leaders. She has vision, compassion, and the ability to lead others in their common goals. Most of all, she listens.

My name is Mina Chow. I’m an adjunct associate professor at USC School of Architecture. I was elevated to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects in 2021 for my public service and contributions in documentary filmmaking to showcase the importance of design to the public.

I started hearing about Evelyn when friends and colleagues like Annie Chu mentioned, oh my gosh, Mina, you have to meet Evelyn. You both have so much in common. And so I thought, we really need to get together, but we kept missing each other. We missed each other in Los Angeles, in DC and at the Chicago AIA convention.

So finally we decided to meet on Zoom, and so we spent over two hours talking about obviously a lot of things that we did have in common.
