Evelyn would be a great leader for AIA National. I love seeing the culture change happening within the Architecture industry and she is a great voice for that change. I was once told that the “Architects Ego” comes standard when you get licensed, like it was a prize you earned. This industry is hard enough without adding ego and competition into it.
You know there is a problem when architects start saying they would NOT recommend this career to their kids. Seeing the wave of cooperation and collaboration taking over this field (including designers, engineers, contractors, and others we work with) is so refreshing and hopeful. We can do more as a team than we can alone.
