Evelyn Lee, FAIA | NOMA

Candidate for 2024 First VP | 2025 President

Bo Lotozo, Acelab

Hey everyone. My name is Bo. I’m an architectural product specialist at Ace Lab and architectural designer by education. I’m really excited about Evelyn’s candidacy because her career exemplifies the interdisciplinary and innovative skills that architects need in order to create meaningful change in today’s world.

Having someone like Evelyn leading the AIA would help designers like me who are using our architectural educations in unique ways to feel more aligned with the AIA’s mission.

I had been following Evelyn on LinkedIn for a while and was always really appreciating the thoughts and insights that she would share over there. So I was really thrilled when my current boss at ACE Lab let me know that Evelyn was joining on to be an architectural advisor for ACEs Lab’s team.

Evelyn is the right candidate for president of the AIA, not only because she’s passionate about architecture and about buildings, but because her career has shown that architects have a wide array of unique skills that can be applied to many different practice areas and many different industries. I think that as the architectural industry continues to grow and shift, this is something that will be increasingly important.

And I believe that younger architects such as myself, will feel much more inclined to join an organization like AIA with someone like Evelyn leading the charge. I believe that this will show that AIA has tools and resources to be able to support architectural designers who are interested in using their skills in unique ways and who want to engage with architectural practice, in ways that are interesting and exciting.
